TotallyFreeQR is built on the principle of doing as little as possible with your information. This page explains what that actually means in practice.

What we collect from you

The QR code generator runs entirely in your browser. The URLs, text, WiFi credentials, contact details, and other data you enter to generate a QR code never leave your device. We do not transmit, log, store, or have any access to the contents of the QR codes you generate. We could not look up what you've made even if we wanted to, because we never received it.

What our hosting provider sees

Like every website on the internet, the server hosting TotallyFreeQR records standard web request information when you visit. This typically includes:

• Your IP address
• The page you requested
• The date and time of your visit
• Your browser type and operating system
• The referring page (if any)

This information is used for normal website operation, security, and basic traffic analytics. It is not used to identify individual users or correlate visits to specific people.

Cookies and local storage

TotallyFreeQR itself does not set tracking cookies or use browser storage to retain information about you between visits. Your browser may cache static page assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for performance reasons, which is normal browser behavior and not specific to this site.

Advertising
